School Tours

As of October 27, 2011 we are done with our school tours. If you are interested in scheduling a tour for the fall 2012 season please contact us in August of 2012...the earlier you reserve your date the better chance of getting a confirmed time on our calendar! Thank you!

The Apple Barn Welcomes Field Trips!

Tours are available during weekdays during September and October!
Tours must be scheduled prior to your visit...call to schedule!
9AM ~ 10:30AM ~ 1 PM

We do a variety of field trips...church groups, bus groups, school tours, preschool tours and more!
Please join us on our farm for an informative 1 hour tour of what we do here at the Apple Barn Orchard & Winery!

We do not offer winery tours at this time.......our tour provides an informative learning tour of our apple orchard and production explaining what we do at our farm during the 4 seasons of an apple. We welcome all ages!

Please note: Tractor rides are only given during our weekday scheduled school tours and weather permitting on the weekends. Thank you!

***Apple Orchard Tour PRICE: $5.00/person

***PRICE: $6.00/person includes the apple orchard tour including one small pumpkin per person and the mentioned activities listed below!

NO COMPLIMENTARY WINE TASTING WILL BE DONE DURING SCHOOL TOURS
An approximate one hour tour of our family farm including a train (modified John Deere Tractor) ride into orchard to pick apples. Each paid person is given a bag (appx 3 lbs filled) to pick their own apples. Variety can vary as to what is in season when you come on your tour.
A 5-minute video of our operation showing different work done during the seasons.
A healthy snack of apple slices, cider and our own cider donuts (UV-processed cider)
Visit the Apple Barn store after the tour....apples, cider, donuts, cookies, gifts & more
Picnic tables are available for picnics. Please let us know when you schedule your trip that you would like to have lunch at our farm.
Tours are provided rain or shine. We do our best to accomodate you...if need be we will try to rescheule your field trip...or do what we can during inclement weather.
Time permitting - we have a Tree Maze to walk through OR play on our antique fire truck Please supervise the children.
Dress according to weather. Please make sure you are dressed for chilly fall weather. We are outside for 1/2 of the field trip!
Chaperones a must! There is a limit of chaperones allowed. Please ask when you are scheduling the tour.
Please understand that each person attending whether you are chaperones or teachers you will be charged for our tour. You are getting a fresh picked 3# bag of apples and tour for the above GREAT price!
No minimum number for a tour - smaller groups may be combined for a tour. We will ask you before combining groups prior to the day of your trip.
