Fresh Strawberries at the Apple Barn

Fresh strawberry and apple cider donuts
are available during our strawberry season!

Pick your own strawberries will start in June 2012 and already picked strawberries will be available by calling 262-728-3266. Please call ahead for exact picking conditions. We may have to close early during the season if we run out of ripe berries...the patch may need to rest to ripen. The season will last into early July.

1 quart weighs 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds Yield: 4-5 servings.
1 1/2 quarts are needed for one 9-inch pie
1 cup of sliced berries = 10 oz. package of frozen berries

Containers are provided for picking. Best time: Pick early in the morning when berries are still cool and the sun has not had time to soften them, or late in the afternoon when the sun is setting.

How to pick: Look under the leaves for berries. Use both hands...one to hold the leaves and the other to pick the berries. Keep the stems and hulls on the fruit. Don't pile the berries too high or the bottom berries will be crushed.
