Fresh Strawberries at the Apple Barn

The Strawberry girls of summer are gearing up for the 2009 season......

Pick your own and already picked strawberries will be available near mid-June. Please call ahead for exact picking conditions and opening date. The season will last into early July.

We are open from 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Orders may be placed by calling 262-728-3266. All orders placed will need to be picked up at the Apple Barn and Winery Store.

1 quart weighs 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds Yield: 4-5 servings.
1 1/2 quarts are needed for one 9-inch pie
1 cup of sliced berries = 10 oz. package of frozen berries

Containers are provided for picking. Best time: Pick early in the morning when berries are still cool and the sun has not had time to soften them, or late in the afternoon when the sun is setting.

How to pick: Look under the leaves for berries. Use both hands... one to hold the leaves and the other to pick the berries. Keep the stems and hulls on the fruit. Don't pile the berries too high or the bottom berries will be crushed.
